Listen to some music.
It’s the most convenient and hassle-free thing to do when you need a pick-me-up. And I’m not talking about listening to slow, sad and depressing songs. Listen to some upbeat, fast tempo songs that make you want to get up and move (or dance).
It’s amazing how something as simple as listening to the right kind of music can instantly change your state of mind and mood almost instantly. Even music is used to treat patients who have depression. Not everything has to involve pills and surgery.
So obviously the type of music you listen to will determine what your mood and state of mind will be. Listen to happy songs and you’ll feel happier. Listen to motivating songs and you’ll feel motivated. Listen to sad songs and you’ll feel sad-er.
Try it out then. When you’re having a bad day, feeling down and unmotivated, play the Rocky theme song out loud and observe how your mood changes. Chances are you’ll feel a whole lot better after the song ends!
This is so true! Listening to Brave by Sara Bareilles. 🙂

Thanks for pointing that out, Jasbir. It’s good to note that it may not always work 100% all of the time but I think we can agree that listening to music that heals and uplifts you is definitely a step in the right direction. Thank you for your words!

They could be singing along for all we know! If they share the same taste in music as you, that is. That would be cool.
