The Power of Now.

You worry, you toss and turn in bed and you get anxious.

You worry about upcoming deadlines. You worry about your children’s future. You worry about everything.

You spend more time worrying and thinking instead of doing something about the very thing that you’re worried about.

Does that sound like you?

We do it from time to time, especially when a deadline draws near. But worrying does you no good at all and just causes unnecessary stress.

When you notice that you’re excessively worrying, just take a moment and focus on your breath.

Your breath is present, free from worry, free from anxiety and full of life.

Recognize the breath as you inhale and exhale. Notice the sensations in your nose and throat as you feel the breath enter and leave your body.

Focus on your breath and the now. The past and future is insignificant compared to the now. The present is all you need. If you’re worried about the future, focus on the present because your future is determined by what you do NOW.

Worried about project deadlines?
Do something about the project NOW.

Worried about getting fired from your job?
Work harder and show others how capable you are NOW.

Worried about completing homework on time?
Start working on your homework NOW.

The time for worrying is over.
Get started and get out of your head NOW.

    1. I agree that time has always been one of the major worries of people.

It’s hard to believe that we can accomplish what we want with the given time that we have but the truth is, we really can.

The mind has an unhelpful way of making things harder and more daunting than they seem. But when we get down to it and start getting stuff done, we realise it’s not all that impossible as long as we put in the work every day.

Your nugget of wisdom is greatly appreciated!
