How to Stop Getting Distracted.

We have a ton of distractions in this day and age.

From social media to Youtube to games on our iPhones, there’s really a million ways to get distracted now.

And it can be really bad.

One moment you’re checking out a funny video your friend posted on Facebook and before you know it, an hour has passed and you’ve gone from Facebook to Instagram to Youtube.

Now I’m not saying social media is bad for us. Far from it. They’re actually amazing inventions.

But they become bad for us when we can’t control how and when we use them. And a lot of us seem to struggle with that.

An easy way to not get distracted is to simply cut and block off all access to the things that distract you.

Make it hard and inconvenient to access those distractions.

Sounds extreme but it works.

If you’re constantly distracted by social media, block all access to it when you’re working.

If you’re constantly distracted by certain people around you, put up a ‘Do not disturb’ sign and put headphones on. Or get your work done somewhere else, if possible.

If you’re constantly distracted by your phone, put it far away from you while you’re working (but still within range to answer important calls).

Easier said than done but I can guarantee that you’ll be distracted a lot lesser after implementing this simple concept.

Stop getting distracted, start working.
