The Truth About Happiness.

Happiness comes from within.

Not from material things.

Not from experience.

Not even from other people.

Your happiness comes solely from your perspective and the amount of gratitude for everything you have in your life.

You might not be happy with the current situation you’re in but someone else would be super grateful to be in your shoes.

It’s all about perspective and gratitude.

We hear people saying,

“I’ll be happy when I earn $X every month”
“I’ll be happy when I get a girlfriend/boyfriend”
“I’ll be happy when I look like a model”

The thing is, even if you achieved the above, there’s always going to be another set of problems to deal with.

We’ll never be happy that way.

And the good thing is, happiness doesn’t work that way either.

Happiness comes from within.

Children tend to be happier than adults and there’s a reason why.

Sure, children don’t have the same stressors and problems as adults do.

But it’s their simple-minded way of thinking which makes them happy.

They don’t desire or chase after many material things as we adults do either, and we can definitely learn a thing or two from their child-like playful behaviour.

Life shouldn’t be taken THAT seriously and kids got it right from the start.

Desire less, play more.
