The Philosophy of Eating.

Everyone has different beliefs when it comes to eating, dieting and food.

Some eat purely for enjoyment without restrictions.
Some severely restrict what they eat.
Some eat purely for fuel, energy or body composition purposes.

They are all fine unless your health is currently severely at risk.

But the ideal mindset we should strive for and adopt should fulfil the following criteria:

Enjoyment – your diet should consist of foods that you enjoy.
Variety – your diet should consist of a variety of foods to ensure you adequately consume different micronutrients.
Volume – your diet should contain the right quantity of food according to your caloric needs.

Enjoyment ensures that you stick to the diet for the long term.
Variety ensures healthy biomarkers.
Volume ensures positive weight management.

So keep these three criteria in check and you’ll be well on your way to keeping a diet plan that’s enjoyable and healthy for the long-term.
